Yong Green Food is a vegetarian restaurant in Fitzroy, Melbourne.
The brief was to create a responsive landing page and website that would appeal to their customers and provide a mobile platform.
I worked with the client to determine their design needs, ultimately basing the design on the colour palette from their existing identity and incorporating design concepts using a simple and clean approach with the theme of fresh ingredients.
One of the main components of the project was focusing on design and functionality for tablet and mobile versions, as the restaurant’s target audience need to know the location, opening hours and menu categories quickly and on the go.
Another major part of the project was creating a menu that allowed users to sort dishes according to their dietary requirements. This is very important for the target audience, who are health conscious and often have unique dietary needs.
With the solution I suggested, users can group menu items by type of dish, and according to the ingredients of the dish.
Yong Green Food has received much positive feedback from customers about this functionality.
I also added links to the Facebook page, Twitter and Instagram accounts for the latest information and sharing photos from Instagram and Twitter.
The new site receives around 9,000 unique visitors a month.
