B-MAT is a Japanese online learning system for kids aged between 5 and 15. The client already had an existing logo and product homepage. They wanted a new logo and interface design for the landing page and the top-level page of the member area. However they did’t have a branding process for their existing identity and product homepage, and I suggested creating an identity first.
I created this logo using the keywords ‘brain’ and ‘cube’ for the concept. I created the key visuals and brand guidelines using the cube, colours and stock photos that the client provided. Given their target audience, the interface design was focused on tablets. For the member page, I suggested using two main colours (blue and orange) to separate the content depending on the age of the user. I passed on all the design data to the client, and they worked with their in-house programmer to implement the designs.
